There may not be a better route to enjoy the best views of the Andes close to La Paz City. That is the region of Condoriri valley and the northern slopes of Huayna Potosi.

Along the route we will pass by Condoriri base camp; one of the most popular areas mountianeers use for acclimatization. Condoriri, the main mountain of this group, reminds of a Condor, wings extended, attempting to take off.

Then we will get to the northern valleys of Huayna Potosi via two mountain passes with splendid views of the mountains and valleys. At the trailhead - where hydro-electric plants produce electricity for La Paz - we will meet our vehicle that will take us back to La Paz. On the road we will pass by Huayna Potosi base camp, certainly the most popular mountain in Bolivia and probably in the whole Andes.

We strongly suggest you to be fully acclimatized to the highlands before this trip, ideally to have spent at least 3-4 days at the highlands and have already been higher than 4500m (14760 ft) before signing for this trip. For more information about this subject, please refer to the page acclimatization at our website.
